A Short Story.

The story of Mr X, the idiot who got 3.++ for his finals exam but failed his Accounting Paper.

One day, Mr X went to hang out with his friends in KL.

They watched a movie called Storm Warriors.

In Mr X's opinion, Storm Warriors is the dumbest movie ever created.

And just to add the fucked-upness, the screen of the cinema went BLANK a few times.

7 times to be exact.

Yes, 7 fucking times.

Mr X thought that the cinema should be burned to the ground.

And Mr X wants his RM11 back.

"It was not fucking worth it", Mr X's inner voice said.

Then Mr X and his friends went to eat at McD.

Then another friend of Mr X came to join them.

After hanging out for awhile, they thought about going to a nearby place to hang out some more.

So Mr X and his friends went back to Shah Alam to get Mr X's car and then go back to KL.

Mr X is known for this type of craziness.

So then they went to a restaurant called RHB.

They talked and talked, and shisha'ed and shisha'ed.

Mr X thought the shisha tasted like shit. But he kept on smoking it like a sailor.

The other day Mr X OD'ed on shisha, and ended up with a huge headache, and now this shisha tasted bad.

So Mr X decided, maybe its time.

Mr X is going to quit shisha.

Until further notice.

Then after talking and gossiping and shit, Mr X sent all his friends back home. Then Mr X went home, only to see a roadblock just a few hundred meters from his house.

But Mr X is now accustomed to roadblocks, so he went through it like a pro.

Actually Mr X didnt feel quite happy the entire day because someone that Mr X really cared about couldn't come with him to hang out with his friends.

He felt sad, and disappointed. But he faked a smile, he faked a laugh, he faked joy so that he wouldn't worry his friends.

He wanted his friends to have a good time. Because he really missed them.

"Hopefully they had a great time", said Mr X to himself in the car.

So after reaching home, Mr X thought that maybe he can talk to that someone. Screw the tiredness.

Maybe, a day so full of craps can be shared. Screw the hunger.

Maybe, this feeling of sadness and disappointment can be taken away by that someone. Screw the sleepyness.

Maybe.

So Mr X got excited to talk with that someone.

How wrong was Mr X.

The situation only got worse.

They got into a fight. A seemingly harmless fight, but deep down...

Mr X did not know what he did wrong, but apparently he did something wrong to that someone.

He kept asking

"What's wrong?"

And every time all he would get is

"Nothing."

And that someone seems to try to distant herself from Mr X.

Mr X notices this, and deep inside, Mr X feels hurt and really dont know what to do.

What Mr X do know is that, Mr X cares alot about that someone. And Mr X cannot afford losing that someone.

"Are you angry?"

Mr X was asked.

"No."

Mr X replied.

Mr X was not angry. He was far from being angry.

He just wanted to spend some time with that someone.

Even if there's no face.
Even if there's no voice.
Even if its just through texts that appear on the monitor.
Just knowing that, that someone is on the other end is enough for Mr X.

But that someone doesn't know.
That someone doesn't notice.
And that someone probably does not care.

And these facts really hurt Mr X.

But being Mr X,
He faked a smile. Again.
He faked a laughter. Again.

Because that is Mr X's only way of handling the pain, the pain he knows too well.

All he can do now, is hope for a better tomorrow.

The end.

(This is a work of fiction.~)
